About Us

The inspiration for Every Lawn A Garden came from a combination of research in food security, hospital surge capacity, and lawn care. We view food-producing gardens as a means of improving health and well-being, and increasing the capacity of local food systems.

Every Lawn A Garden works in partnership with communities, organizations, and individuals to increase the quantity and quality of food-producing gardens. We provide:

• an online community to connect people with ideas, resources, and information to assist their gardening efforts
• social marketing materials to promote food-producing gardens
• a local gardening business directory for participating communities which (a) provides a resource for those seeking gardening resources and assistance, and (b) promotes local gardening industries
• a listing of provincial gardening resources available to any gardener in BC
• a calendar of events of interest to the gardening community
• updates on news and noteworthy happenings in the world of gardening and food.
